POSITION SUMMARY:

The position of Assistant Athletic Director – Games/Events is responsible for assisting the Athletic Director with management of games and athletic events, organizing athletic alumni relations and supervision of sports information. This position will also work with Advancement staff by assisting with USM Golf Classic and Corporate Sponsorships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Embrace and uphold the USM Mission.
• Responsible for USM Athletic Department game and event management staffing. and organization for all sports home schedules.
• Responsible for organization of USM Athletic Hall of Fame and other special athletic department events.
• Responsible for USM Athletic Alumni Relations.
• Support and supervise Sports Information.
• Responsible for scheduling and supervision of Athletic Work Study students.
• Assist with organization and planning for USM Golf Classic fundraising event.
• Assist with organization and planning of corporate sponsorship.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Ability to learn software programs that support USM Athletics.
• 3 to 5 years related experience.
• Must have working knowledge of NAIA and KCAC rules and regulations.
• Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. and sit or stand for long periods of time.
