About the Role
Churchill Cost Consultants (Churchill) is looking for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution for a portfolio of infrastructure construction projects for a Fortune 100 technology firm whose focus is delivery of hyper-scale data centers. The APM will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects objectives are met on time and within budget. The role is positioned in our client’s portfolio management team requiring a combination of leadership, technical and communication skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to manage various client responsibilities while still supporting the growth and initiatives for Churchill.
Responsibilities
•Assist in developing project plans, schedules and budgets.
•Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors and vendors to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
•Monitor progress and identify potential issues, proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
•Maintain document repository, including necessary cross functional team information.
•Prepare regular status updates and reports for internal and client stakeholders.
•Track and mange project changes, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
•Assist in maintaining a safe a compliant work environment in accordance with safety regulations and protocols.
•Assist with cost tracking, budget management and invoice approvals.
•Support contract administration, including tracking change orders and contract compliance.
•Serve as liaison between client representatives, contractors and subcontractors.
•Facilitate communication and coordination among all project stakeholders.
•Engage with cross-functional teams under direction of client lead to collect, synthesize, and incorporate feedback.
•Develop and manage standard service agreements with vendors.
•Produce monthly status reports and communication plans.
•Capture and incorporate lessons learned to support continuous improvement and drive efficiencies for program.
•Support in the development of the client relationship through excellence in our delivery.
Experience Required
•Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
•Right to work in the United States.
•BS degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or other construction related degree.
•5 YOE required (prefer 5-7) in real estate development and program management (infrastructure, mission critical, data center, industrial sectors preferred).
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with team members and stakeholders.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
•Detailed-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
•Skilled communicator with excellent internal/external stakeholder management skills.
•Strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols and industry standards.
•Strong drafting, written communication, and content creation skills, with experience developing process documentation, stakeholder presentations, and dashboards.
•Preferred: Experience with supplier qualification and contract management.
•Preferred: Technical knowledge of data center project development lifecycle, including site acquisition, due diligence, and front-end design for greenfield and brownfield sites.
•Preferred: Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field, and/or equivalent technical program/project management experience.
•Preferred: Experience managing A/E/C contracts and relationships
