Job Description

Company Description

CCG Talent Management is a business solutions company. We provide business consulting and talent placement services. Our team understands the principles of connecting purpose to business and career placement. The Talent Management Division is currently seeking a Fintech & Financial Services Associate - Securities Law.

Job Description

CCG is excited to offer the opportunity to join a growing and creative financial services practice in a firm that represents pioneering companies in the space. The successful candidate for this role will contribute to strategic securities law counselling for launching new investment products and platforms. They will also provide more discrete counselling on laws and regulations applicable to issuers and intermediaries in securities laws transactions.

This is an exciting time to be a part of this developing group, which demands intellectual curiosity, regulatory rigor, and a knowledge of the cutting-edge technologies being used in the financial services industry. The group is highly collaborative, and successful associates have opportunities to work directly with innovative companies, play an entrepreneurial role in building the practice, interact meaningfully with partners in the group and attorneys across the firm, and benefit from thoughtful, ongoing mentoring.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years experience, particularly as it relates to investment products and securities intermediaries. More senior candidates are welcome to apply if they have more on-point experience.
  • Knowledge of investment adviser, broker-dealer, and/or other securities and commodities regulations, preferably with a focus on fintech companies. Knowledge of investment company status issues is also helpful. We can train for substantive knowledge - the other qualities listed below are essential and difficult to teach.
  • The ability to think creatively and with nuance to develop problem-solving strategies and assess risk for clients while working solidly within applicable regulation.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, particularly when expressing complex ideas and analyses. We value experience drafting memos, contracts, risk disclosures, alerts, and other types of documents, especially where a candidate has been asked to draft without or beyond template documents. The successful associate will do any and all of these types of writing. We also value experience communicating effectively with clients
  • History of collaborating well within a team and taking initiative to contribute to analyses of issues of first impression to achieve the best possible outcome for a client. It is critical that an associate in this group is comfortable developing independent conclusions where there is no clear answer while also engaging in internal discussion to vet and sharpen the advice to be provided to clients. In other words, we work together to generate the right answer internally and want someone who values that approach.
  • Ability to partner with clients in a positive way through complex discussions and decisions.
  • Energy and excitement to help build a growing practice.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exemplary research and analytical skills related to SEC and CFTC regulation and enforcement.
  • Washington, DC, location. Hybrid work schedule is the norm. Currently must be in the office at least two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Candidates must have the flexibility to potentially come in more frequently.

Additional Information
  • Salary range of $225,000 - $260,000, based on year classification.
  • Our benefits include:
    • Monthly wellness reimbursements
    • 24/7 emotional and behavioral health support and virtual counseling
    • Healthcare coverage for you and your same- or opposite-sex spouse/domestic partner and children up to age 26
    • Family-building benefits including IVF, adoption, surrogacy, and egg-freezing
