Job Description
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level cloud architecture and solution design.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with GCP in enterprise environments, with a deep understanding of GCP's full stack, including compute, storage, networking, security, and platform services.
- Strong demonstrable experience in building cloud infra foundations and landing zones from ground up (preferably for GCP) at enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPC design, ingress architecture, hybrid connectivity, interconnects, service mesh, and network security in GCP.
- Expertise in Kubernetes (GKE) for container orchestration, including cluster management, workload distribution, and advanced networking configurations.
- Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and scripting with Python to automate and optimize cloud solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of policy-as-code frameworks like Sentinel and experience implementing guardrails and best practices to ensure compliance and security.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud monitoring tools, and performance optimization techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing GCP well-architected principles and ensuring production-grade scalability, reliability, and security.
- Experience in analyzing on-prem workloads and providing migration recommendations and solution architecture for migration to public cloud.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams around cloud strategies.
- Some exposure to AWS will be a value addition.
- Serve as the enterprise architect responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and robust infrastructure and platform solutions on GCP.
- Design and manage guardrails, policies, and policy-as-code frameworks to enforce cloud governance and security.
- Architect Kubernetes (GKE) environments, including networking, node management, and workload distribution, to meet enterprise-scale needs.
- Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to teams on GCP capabilities, innovations, and cost-efficient solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including infrastructure, security, and application teams, to align cloud architecture with business goals.
- Assist teams with the adoption of cloud by reviewing workloads and recommending migration suitability, disposition, approach and target state tech stack.
- Drive automation and efficiency by implementing Terraform, Python scripts, and other cloud-native tools for infrastructure management.
- Conduct regular reviews of the cloud environment, recommend optimizations, and implement improvements for performance and reliability.
