Job Description

Marathon TS is looking for a Junior Scrum Master to support our TSA efforts. The Jr. Scrum Master helps teams self-organize, self-manage, and deliver by learning and then supporting effective Agile practices. The Jr. Scrum Master will:

• Work with multiple scrum masters and the Release Train Engineer to learn the foundations of Agile delivery,team ceremonyfacilitation, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement.
• Provide backup to other program members, as needed, facilitating team ceremonies such as the daily stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospectives, and PI Planning Team Breakout.
• Support creation and maintenance of user stories in the Agile Lifecycle Management tool.
• Learn teams' dev/test delivery process and identify challenges with efficiency, communication, and planning.
• Collaborate with other scrum masters on cross-team dependencies. Provide backup to represent teams in the Scrum of Scrums.
• Assist team in preparation for ART events, including PI Planning and System Demos.
• As needed, communicate with management and ART stakeholders. Provide status of sprint progress and request awareness and/or support if sprint scope or dependencies are at risk.
• Support Scrum Teams by embracing SAFe Core Values and applying SAFe Principles.

Minimum:

• 1+ years experience in a team or customer service environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• This role requires hybrid (remote and on-site) support in Annapolis Junction, MD based on contract requirements
