Legal Assistant

Respected downtown law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant with 1 - 3+ years of plaintiff litigation experience to join as an integral part of their dynamic team!

LOCATION : Portland, OR

SALARY : $60k-67k/yr DOE - Will consider combination of Oregon Litigation, Plaintiff experience or out of state litigation experience in other areas of the law.

SCHEDULE : Full-time, 37.5 hour work week, hybrid schedule after training

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft, revise, proofread, and file legal documents, ensuring timely completion and accuracy throughout the litigation process.
• Proactively manage case progression, scheduling, and deadlines while collaborating closely with attorneys as part of a team.
• Assist in trial preparation, maintain attention to detail in proofreading, and handle calendars, docketing, and scheduling efficiently.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 1-3 years of Oregon Plaintiff Litigation support experience, with trial and appellate exposure. If you have 3+ years of litigation experience in another area of law, or a different state, we also want to learn about your experience!
• Proficient in document management, time billing, case management software, and workflow management.
• A curious and resourceful problem solver with a hands-on approach.
• Experienced in e-Filing. Ideally for Oregon, Washington State, Federal, and Appellate courts.
