About the Bank:

Our client is a growing, community-focused bank in Madison County, IL, dedicated to building strong relationships with local businesses and providing tailored financial solutions. With a commitment to personalized service and long-term partnerships, the bank is expanding its commercial lending team and seeking a motivated Commercial Lender to drive growth and support the needs of business clients.

Position Overview:

The Commercial Lender will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial loans, fostering relationships with new and existing clients, and collaborating with internal teams to structure competitive lending solutions. This role requires a proactive, relationship-driven professional with strong credit analysis skills and a deep understanding of commercial lending products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business clients, identifying their financial needs and providing appropriate lending solutions.
• Originate, structure, and close commercial loans, including C&I and CRE loans, in alignment with the bank’s credit policies.
• Analyze financial statements, assess credit risk, and prepare loan presentations for approval.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including credit, underwriting, and loan operations, to ensure seamless loan processing and portfolio management.
• Monitor and manage loan performance, proactively addressing risk and identifying opportunities for portfolio growth.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory requirements to provide informed guidance to clients.
• Represent the bank at networking events and community activities to enhance brand visibility and develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience , preferably within a community bank setting.
• Proven track record in business development and portfolio management.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, credit underwriting, and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team to achieve goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
