Come join us at Cabrini of Westchester! We are a 304-bed, Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility founded in 1974 in continuation of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini’s legacy of serving those in need through works of healing, teaching, caring and giving.

We are seeking to hire an in-person MDS Nurse – RN – Registered Nurse.

• $54 to $57 per hour based on skills and experience.

MDS Nurse – RN – Registered Nurse Qualifications:

• NY RN - Registered Nurse License.
• AANAC certification or the ability to obtain AANAC certification within 6 months of hire.
• 1 years’ experience in nursing supervision or nursing management in Long-Term Care.
• Knowledge of PDPM and OBRA required.
• 3 years’ experience as an MDS nurse preferred.

MDS Nurse – RN – Registered Nurse Job Summary:

• Oversee all aspects of the Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care Programs.
• Direct financial reporting staff.
• Oversee the resident assessment team for completion of payments.
• Periodic written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator.
• Assist the QAA committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action.
• Participate with in developing the Reimbursement Department Budget.
• Monitor Point Click Care “Care Management” areas to ensure accuracy and completeness of resident assessments.
• Monitor ABILITY programs dashboards (InfectionWATCH, RiskWATCH & CareWATCH).
• Review CASPER Reports for accuracy and investigate and report all discrepancies.
• Ensure the baseline plan of care for each resident is developed within 48 hours of admission.
• Stay informed on Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) updates and Medicare and Medicaid changes.
